Emily Nobles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides therapy to adolescents and adults. A native of North Carolina, she earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Bachelors degree in Child Development, Psychology, and Leadership Studies from Peace College. She has trained in a variety of clinical settings including the UNC School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic, Wakebrook Pediatric Behavior Clinic, Orange County Public School System, and the Carteret County Department of Social Services.
Her professional experience began at the Lucy Daniels Center in Cary, where she first worked as a teacher-therapist in their Early Intervention program and later as a clinician in their Family Guidance Service program. While at the Lucy Daniels Center, her work focused on helping children from birth through age 12 and their families.
In 2013, Emily moved to Morehead City, NC to join her spouse, John Nobles, who was serving in the United Stated Marine Corps. While there, she worked at a mental health clinic providing therapeutic care to people of all ages with a variety of needs.
Emily and her spouse lived in Raleigh, NC from 2015-2018 where she worked in private practice as well as part-time at AHB Center for Behavioral Health and Wellness while John attended law school at Campbell University. They have now settled back in Carteret County with their two children!
Emily incorporates psychodynamic psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy into her clinical practice. She works to tailor a treatment plan that best suits each client based on age, needs, and what they hope to achieve through therapy.
